No Basics Grading Chart

We use our above grading chart to ensure the quality of our garments throughout their life as rental garments. Our garments deemed "Immaculate" through to "Very Good" are considered our wearable categories. For a No Basics garment to be considered unwearable the garment would be classed as "Very Good" to "Good". If a garment was to fall into one of these categories we would then look to on sell the pieces.

Brand New

A brand new dress is a garment that has never been worn or used before and is in pristine condition. It has not been subject to any wear and tear. A brand new dress typically retains its original shape, color, and texture, and is free from any defects or imperfections. It is considered to be in new condition until it is worn or used for the first time.

Deadstock

An item that has remained pristine and unworn.

Immaculate

A dress that is in immaculate condition is a garment that is in perfect or near-perfect condition, with no visible signs of wear, tear, or damage. It is extremely well-maintained, clean, and free from any stains, odors, or discoloration. The fabric is still vibrant, and any embellishments, such as buttons, sequins, or embroidery, are intact and undamaged. The seams and stitching are also in excellent condition, with no fraying, loose threads, or missing buttons. A dress in immaculate condition could be new or pre-owned, but it has been carefully cared for and is almost indistinguishable from a brand new garment.

Excellent

A dress that is in excellent condition is a garment that has been well-maintained and cared for, with only minimal signs of wear or use. It may have been worn a few times, but it still looks and feels like new. The fabric is still in great shape, with no stains, tears, or holes. Any embellishments, such as buttons, zippers, or embroidery, are still intact and functional. The seams and stitching are also in good condition, with no loose threads or fraying. Overall, a dress in excellent condition may show some minor wear and tear, but it is still in great shape and can still be worn and enjoyed for many more occasions.

Very Good

A dress that is in very good condition is a garment that has been gently worn and well-cared for, with only minor signs of wear or use. The fabric may show some slight signs of wear, such as minor fading or pilling, but it is still in good shape with no major stains, tears, or holes. Any embellishments, such as buttons, zippers, or embroidery, are still intact and functional, although they may show some slight wear or fading. The seams and stitching are also in good condition, with no major fraying or loose threads. Overall, a dress in very good condition has been well-maintained and still has a lot of life left in it, but it may show some minor signs of wear and use.

Good

  • Minor Staining

These are small (under 3cm), localised stains that do not significantly affect the appearance/wearability or integrity of the dress. They may be barely noticeable

  • Moderate Staining

These are larger or more widespread stains that may cover a significant portion of the dress. Dependant on fabric and location of stain this can hinder the garments wearability.

  • Severe Staining

There are many noticeable stains that have deeply penetrated the fabric and make the garment unwearable.
